Small Bag is a figural, a teapot masked as a travel case. The finial is the handle of the bag, and the buckle of the bag extends across the shoulder of the teapot. Small Bag is remarkable for its different colored clays--brown gray, tan, light brown, and orange red. Detailed stitching depicted in clay throughout the piece completes the artist's interpretation of the travel bag. Small Bag is delightful and surprisingly elaborate in its colors and detail.
